JACKSON, S.C. – Tomatoes were the stars at the annual Tomato Pie Festival July 13 at Boondock Farms.
They were baked into pies and fresh varieties of heirloom Brandywine, Purple Cherokee and Parks whopper giant slicers were available for purchase.
And for those who might not have come for the tomatoes, there were a variety of other items for purchase including fresh produce and handcrafted items as well as live music.
Other upcoming events include the Back to School Festival on Aug. 10 and the Foodie Fest on Sept. 14.
If you missed tomato pies on July 13, they should have more while tomatoes are in season. Boondock Farms is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
