In pictures: South Florence halts North Augusta’s bid for state championship on Dec. 6

NORTH AUGUSTA – It was a low scoring match-up Friday in the Jackets’ Nest with North Augusta coming up short 27-20 as the Yellow Jackets fell to the South Florence Bruins in the lower state championship game.

North Augusta put all its points in the first quarter scoring two of its touchdowns on turnovers.

The Bruins excelled in their running game on Friday and battled back to take the lead in the fourth quarter.

The Yellow Jackets finish the season at 12-2 overall. The Bruins head to the state championship game on Dec. 13.
