About 236 pickleball players came from around Georgia and the Carolinas to play in the annual NOT’Lanta Open Pickleball tournament at the Montclair pickleball courts May 15-17, 2026.

The event was born during the pandemic. When the Atlanta tournament was canceled because of COVID, Augusta decided to have its own tournament.

As the sport has gained in popularity so have tournaments, but Anne Rheins, the NOT’Lanta Open coordinator said the tournament has held its own and continued to draw the maximum amount of players the weekend event can sustain.

Players come from as far away as Atlanta and Charlotte, North Carolina for the tournament which included women’s and men’s doubles on Sunday and mixed doubles on Saturday.
