NORTH AUGUSTA – South Florence halted North Augusta’s state title hopes in football in December, so the Yellow Jackets’ hoops’ team returned the favor Thursday beating the Bruins 58-38 in the second round of the SCHSL playoffs.
The ‘Jackets 24-1 will play Gray Collegiate Tuesday. The two teams have already faced each other twice this season with Gray (19-7) handing North Augusta its lone loss of the season on Jan. 28 by a score of 55-51.
The Lady Yellow Jackets will take to the home court Friday against cross-town rival Aiken at 6 p.m.
