NORTH AUGUSTA – Summer means outdoor stages around the area are filled with music.
Singers, dancers, musicians participate in the multiple free outdoor performance series on both sides of the Savannah River.
On Thursdays, North Augusta’s Maude Edenfield Park is the site of the North Augusta Cultural Arts Council’s Music in the Park series, and on May 30, members of the North Augusta School of Dance took the stage.
On June 6, the Over The Hill Gang will play 60s and 70s favorites and Matthew Dickerson will be on dulcimer on June 13 at the Music in the Park series.
The Hopelands Gardens concert season in Aiken is in full swing on Mondays. Heart & Soul at 7 p.m. June 10; and The Experiment & the I-20 Horn at 7 p.m., June 17.The Parris Island Marine Band, a staple of the series for more than 30 years, will end the series with patriotic pieces at 7 p.m. June 24.
The 70th season of Evenings at the Appleby Library kicks off at 8 p.m. June 4 with the Dulcimer Guy. Concerts will be each Tuesday in June and on July 9.
