With a new route that encompassed both Augusta and North Augusta, the IRONMAN competition was back on Sept. 28 after Hurricane Helene forced the cancellation of last year’s event
Jason West crossed the finish line first with a time of 3:35:05, while Paula Findlay was the winner in the women’s division with a time of 4:04:43. Rounding out the men’s division was Ari Klau at 3:37:19 and Kevin McDowell at 3:38:26. Grace Alexander came in second in the women’s division at 4:07:32, and Lydia Russell finished at 4:10:07,
