Columbia County’s Annual Public Safety and Preparedness Fair was Saturday.

First responders and representatives from Fire Rescue, the Columbia County ySheriff’s Office, and more than two dozen partners including Grovetown and Harlem public safety teams, Shepeard Blood Center, The Red Cross, AU AirCare and Gold Cross were part of the event.

People could climb on fire engines, ambulances and specialty emergency vehicles; see dive boats and HAZMAT trucks, watch a K-9 demonstration, tour the fire safety house and take part in free carnival rides.

There were food trucks and live music.
