Snow fell in Augusta Saturday.

Well, sort of.

Temperatures didn’t allow for any of the real frozen kind, but there was plenty of imitation snowflakes falling much to the delight of area children. It was part of the city of Augusta’s Christmas Light Up Spectacular and Tree Lighting event at the Augusta Common Dec. 9.

The event also featured area school groups presenting selections of holiday music, the Christmas tree lighting and a fireworks finale.
