In pictures: Augusta University sends off president

Faculty, students, staff and friends said farewell to Dr. Brooks Keel Friday afternoon with an impromptu parade through the medical college campus.

The retiring president rang the Augusta University bell one final time and gave no speeches before getting into his Denali and driving with his Augusta University police escort.

Keel’s official last day as the university’s president is June 30. Russell T. Keen will succeed him as the university’s president on July 1.
