In pictures: Augusta Locally Grown’s Fourth Annual Tomato Sandwich competition June 11

A farmer’s market, cooking classes and some friendly competition are a few of the offerings Augusta Locally Grown, a local non-profit headquartered at the HUB for Community Innovation Augusta provides.

On June 11, the organization held its Fourth Annual Tomato Sandwich Competition for bragging rights on the tastiest summertime sandwich.

Lots of luscious red tomatoes were sliced up and placed on bread with mayo and other spices thrown into the mix and served up for a panel of judges to sample.

In the end, it was Ryan Andrews who was crowned the tomato sandwich king.
