In pictures: Aquinas opens season with big win

Aquinas opened its 2025 season at home against Athens Academy with a 52-34 victory Aug. 15.

Last year, the two teams faced off twice. The Spartans took the season opener 45-22 on their home turf, but when it counted, the Irish won a Nov. 22, 2024 playoff game 31-20, handing Athens its only loss of the season.

Aquinas travels to Bryan County Aug. 22.
