Law enforcement personnel from Fort Eisenhower and local municipalities are observing National Police Week with some friendly competitions in marksmanship, golf and bowling.

Fort Eisenhower officials opened the week with a ceremony on May 13. Read about it here.

Marksmanship events were May 14.

 In 1962, President John F. Kennedy Jr. named May 15 at Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week surrounding it as Police Week.
