GreenJackets’ home opener set for April 14

It’s not April in Augusta without azaleas.

During their first homestand of the season, the Augusta GreenJackets will once again transform into Augusta’s most recognizable flower April 17-19.

The Jackets finished their series with Delmarva on Sunday winning 8-6.

Opening night is set for April 14 against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.

The first 1,000 visitors to SRP Park on Tuesday will receive an opening night rally towel, courtesy SRP Federal Credit Union, and on April 17, the first 1,000 patrons will receive an Azaleas Garden Gnome presented by Cintas. On April 18, there will be fireworks after the game and on Sunday, bid on an Augusta Azaleas jersey.
