GreenJackets become Azaleas for first six-day homestand of 2025 season

NORTH AUGUSTA – The Augusta GreenJackets’ first six game homestand of the year starts Tuesday, April 15. Not only will the Jackets’ take on their Augusta Azaleas’ identity, but there are several promotional events planned.

Here are a few highlights of the extra fun as the GreenJackets face the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.

Tuesday, April 15 is education day and first responder Tuesday. The first pitch is at 11:05 a.m. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. All first responders with a valid ID get $2 off tickets at the SRP Park box office. Plus, nominate a First Responder of the Game for the chance to be recognized at the game and receive a $50 gift card to Academy Sports + Outdoors. Wednesday, April 16 is will feature a job and career fair by ADP as well as baseball bingo. Pick up your card at the front gate and play a little B-I-N-G-O during the ballgame.

Fans 60 and older can join the Silver Jackets program and receive tickets to select home games. Silver Jackets members also get an exclusive Silver Jackets T-shirt, members only gift courtesy of Senior Resource Services, and discounts at the Hive Pro Shop. Click here for more information:

Warrior Wednesdays feature $2 discounts on tickets for military, veterans and family members at the SRP Park Box Office with a valid Military and/or Veteran ID.

Thursday is the GreenJackets’ Spring Break game with DJ Whiplash playing on the concourse throughout the evening and bringing the party atmosphere. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m..

Before the game cheer on teams from Edgefield Parks and Recreation as they take part in a pregame parade.

On April 18, the first 1,000 fans will receive an Augusta Azaleas blanket and the Jackets will wear the specially designed jersey.

Continuing the GreenJackets’ tradition of paying homage to the CSRA staples that gain national recognition every April, these alternate uniforms prominently feature the flowers and pink hues that are so prevalent in Augusta and around the region this time of year.

To bring the Augusta Azaleas to life, local CSRA artist, Jason Craig, was brought on to design the look of the logo and jerseys. The ‘Jackets will wear these uniforms for two home games April 18 and 19

“We could not be more thrilled to showcase the Augusta Azaleas at SRP Park this year,” stated GreenJackets General Manager, Brandon Greene, in a news release. “Nothing captures the beauty and serenity of springtime in Augusta like the azalea flower, and we can’t wait for GreenJackets fans to see these jerseys on the field.”

Augusta Azaleas Night is Saturday, April 19

The Augusta Azaleas blossom in honor of the iconic flowers found all over the CSRA.  The Augusta Azaleas jerseys the players wear during the game will be auctioned off, with net proceeds benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Augusta. Celebrate Azaleas Weekend with fireworks show shot off by Joe Dirt Fireworks.

Also as part of State Farm Family Saturday, fans can meet their favorite GreenJackets players and get their autographs pregame. Jaycie Ward will be on the concourse, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for the White Claw Pre-Game Concert with $2 off White Claws until 6:05 p.m.

First pitch is at 6:05 p.m. with gates opening at 4:30 p.m.

Enjoy Easter Sunday at the park with a pregame Easter egg hunt from 4 to 4:30 p.m.

After the action is the Post-Game Kids Run the Bases where children 12 and younger can line up on the first base concourse and get the chance to run where the GreenJackets run.

First pitch is at 5:05 p.m
