Goodwill, VA to host hiring events in September

Two job fairs are set for September.

The VA Augusta Health Care System will host its hiring event on Sept. 11, while Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia will host one on Sept. 16.

The VA Augusta Health Care System will host a job fair from 3 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 11, at Room 3B-125 Auditorium, Uptown campus, 1 Freedom Way. VA Augusta will be hiring for several positions including advanced medical support assistants (AMSA), supply techs, food service workers and inventory managers. The AMSA and food service positions are open to all U.S. citizens, while supply tech and inventory manager jobs are limited to Veterans and current and former federal employees, according to a news release.

The VA expects on-site, same-day hires, a news release said.

Applicants should bring two photos IDs (one must be a REAL ID), a current resume, three professional references and a DD214 (if applicable).

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia will host its Fall 2025 Job Fair from to 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Snelling Conference Center, 3165 Washington Rd.

This free event will connect job seekers with employers actively hiring across the CSRA, according to a news release.

With industries ranging from healthcare and education to retail and government, this event offers job seekers direct access to companies eager to recruit new talent.

Confirmed employers include Aiken County Public School, All Ways Caring Home Care, Augusta Staffing, Augusta University, Biomat Plasma Center, Coca Cola, Columbia County Board of Education, Fort Gordon Exchange (Army & Air Force Exchange Service), Goodwill of Middle GA, HTI, KaMin LLC, Massey Services, Inc., Metro Public Adjuster, Nightingale Services, Piedmont Hospital, Publix, Richmond County Board of Education, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, Right at Home, Sales Gravy, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, Security National Life Insurance, Sevita, Snelling Staffing, Spherion Staffing, Supreme Maintenance Organization, Visiting Angels, Washington State Prison and Wellstar Health System.

Job seekers can pre-register online and employers can register online.
