It’s almost football season and North Augusta Forward and the Downtown Merchants Alliance are setting the stage with the inaugural Downtown Tailgate Golf Cart parade.
Residents are encouraged to decorate their golf carts with their “best tailgate-inspired theme. Think football, baseball, hometown pride, school spirit, picnics and more,” a news release from North Augusta Forward said.
The parade will be Aug. 20, to coincide with the monthly Third Thursday event. The deadline to register is July 31. Space is limited with only 30 golf carts approved.

“Registration does not guarantee participation. Applications will be reviewed, and participants will receive a confirmation email no later than August 7,” the news release said.
