One million diapers.

That’s the major milestone GAP Ministries reached on Feb. 20. In an effort that began about a decade ago, the diaper bank’s distribution is an important one.
“Diapers are so expensive,” said Nomi Stanton, GAP’s executive director, who said about 20 cases of diapers are distributed at GAP each Thursday.
Most of GAP’s diaper-seeking families have jobs but don’t make enough to cover all the necessities. The diaper bank provides them with one less item they have to pay retail for at the store, she said.
GAP also helps provide diapers for organizations such as Hope House and the Salvation Army Center for Hope.
Grants from agencies such as the Kirby Smart Foundation help keep the diaper pantry stocked.
