Fit4School will be July 20

The 14th annual Fit4School returns to the Aiken County Family Y on Saturday, July 20.

The drive-thru event will provide free school supplies, health screenings by Hearing Associates
of South Carolina and haircuts by Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology. There also will be
opportunities to meet superheroes and princesses and play video games while a DJ plays
music, according to a news release.

Aiken attorney Everrett Chandler has sponsored Fit4School since its inception and volunteers
every year to help during the event.

“Students aren’t going to succeed academically if they don’t have the basic supplies they need,”
he said. “I’m honored to give back to the community and help the next generation.”

School supplies will be handed out from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, while supplies last
at the Aiken County Family Y, 621 Trolley Line Road, Graniteville.
