Evans High All-American commits to Alabama

Evans High School’s All-American offensive lineman Mason Short announced his commitment to the University of Alabama April 2.

The 6-foot-6-inch tall, 280 pound sophomore took to Twitter with one word “COMMITTED” with the hashtag “RollDamnTide.”

Recent tweets showed him visiting various colleges such as the University of Florida, University of Georgia, Auburn University and Florida State University. He had received offers from multiple colleges including recent ones from the University of Miami and the University of Michigan, according to his Twitter account.

Short has been a top prospect since middle school. He gained the attention of college coaches after his appearance in the Future Star Game in Jacksonville, Fla. in June 2021.
