Displaced Art Institute students offered space at Helms College

Following the recent announcement by The Art Institute about their schools including The Art Institute of Atlanta closing on Sept, 30, 2023, Helms College aims to provide immediate educational options for hundreds of culinary students affected by this unexpected closure.

“Helms College, with its commitment to excellence in culinary education, is inviting all affected culinary students from The Art Institute. We are dedicated to facilitating a seamless transition for those seeking to continue their educational journey at our Macon or Augusta, Ga. campuses,” according to a news release from Helms College.

Helms College and its programs are licensed and approved by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC) and accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET). ACCET is listed by the US. Department Of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

Recognizing the situation’s urgency, Helms College has fast-tracked an academic session for displaced students. New classes will begin on Oct. 9, 2023. Student housing options are available, the release continued.

A special Admissions Representative from Helms College has been appointed to exclusively assist Art Institute students during this time of transition. Our representative is on standby to address concerns, answer questions and provide a comprehensive guide through the transfer process.
