A grant from the Jim Henson Foundation led to the creation of a magical show that will be performed at the Etherredge Center at the University of South Carolina Aiken on Nov. 2.
Lightwire Theater’s DINOLIGHT is the story of “a famous scientist with magic powers brings a friendly dinosaur to life. When the dinosaur wanders away from home, he discovers a wonderful world full of creatures that light up the darkness and help him find the true meaning of love,” according to the Lightwire website.
The production, which is part of the Etherredge Center’ Cultural Series, combines cutting-edge technology, moving dance and imaginative storytelling in a glow-in-the-dark adventure.

Based in New Orleans, Lightwire Theater was featured as a semi-finalist on “America’s Got Talent” and were winners of TruTV’s “Fake Off.”
“This show truly lights up the imagination,” said Etherredge Center Executive Director Paul B. Crook. “It’s a perfect family event—fun, inspiring, and visually stunning from start to finish. We can’t wait to welcome our audiences in to fill the theatre for this show!”
