
The Cross Creek Razorbacks their ticket to the Elite Eight as they defeated Westover 59-52 in the second round of the Georgia High School AAA State Playoffs on Saturday, Feb. 28.
The Razorbacks led 10-9 after the first quarter but outscored the Patriots 14-6 in the second quarter to lead 25-14 at the half. Cross Creek Junior Frashad Tisby scored 10 of the 14 points in the second quarter.
Westover fought back in the third quarter after they converted two and-one layups to cut Cross Creek’s lead to only four points with one minute remaining in the quarter.

Tisby continued to get to the bucket at will as he scored 17 points in the second half and converted the dagger 3-pointer to secure Cross Creek’s win. He led all scorers with 28 points in the game.
Cross Creek handed Westover only their third loss of the season. The Razorbacks extend their winning streak to 16 games with an overall record of 23-5.



The Razorbacks will now host a familiar region foe in Baldwin in the Elite Eight. They are 2-1 versus Baldwin on the season, including a region championship victory. All of the matchups between Cross Creek and Baldwin have been decided by seven points or less with one game going to overtime.
Cross Creek and Baldwin will faceoff one more time on at Cross Creek High School on Wednesday, March 3 at 6 p.m.
