Corned beef sandwich event back for 11th year

An annual corned beef fundraiser is back for its 11th year.

“A freshly sliced kosher corned beef sandwich piled high on New York City bakery rye bread,” according to a news release. Lunch includes chips, a classic black and white cookie, kosher dill pickle and choice of drink.

On Sunday, March 17, pickup will be either at Adas Yeshurun Synagogue, 935 Johns Rd, or at Cucina 503 at Petersburg Shoppes shopping center on Furys Ferry Road.

On Monday, March 18, pickup will be at AYS. Free delivery will be available for orders of 10 lunches or more to the same location.

Lunches are $17, and orders may be placed online at cornedbeefaugusta.com. Call (706) 736-8788.

The proceeds will benefit Adas Yeshurun Synagogue with a portion going to Fisher House to help military families.
