Columbia County announces new elementary school principals for 2026-2027 school year

Two new principals were approved for Columbia County elementary schools for the 2026-2027 school years.

Kelli Robertson was unanimously approved as the new principal of Stevens Creek Elementary School, and Jessica Williams was unanimously approved as the new principal of Blue Ridge Elementary School, according to a news release from the Columbia County School District.

Robertson, who will taking the place of Principal Grace Meyer, holds multiple degrees including a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education, master’s in early childhood education, and also an educational specialist in leadership.

She began her career in education in 2001 as a third grade teacher at North Columbia Elementary
School. She spent 12 years teaching in Lincoln County, followed by an additional two years at
Greenbrier Elementary School and has been the assistant principal at Brookwood Elementary School for six years.

Williams, who takes the place of Principal Bridgette Cliatt, holds multiple degrees including a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, master’s degree in teaching and learning, educational specialist in teaching and learning and Tier 1 and Tier 2 leadership certificate.

She began teaching in 2005 as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Bel Air Elementary School. She has
also taught at Martinez Elementary School, and River Ridge Elementary School. In 2013, Ms.
Williams was named the Teacher of the Year at Bel Air Elementary School, and again in 2016 at
River Ridge Elementary School.

She has been the assistant principal at Blue Ridge Elementary School for three years
and has completed the Columbia County School District Aspiring Principals Academy this year.
