Downtown Soul City’s second annual Downtown Get Down fundraiser is set for Feb. 27.

Featuring the theme of “Casino Nights,” the event will be from 6-10 p.m. at Savannah River Brewing Co. It will feature jazz music by locals Bill Karp and by The Billy Pham Trio and traditional casino games like poker, blackjack, roulette. and craps. Also, Cardboard Castle Games will host several board games.

Chips will be available for purchase and raffle prizes from Downtown Soul City members will be available for game winners.

There will be a short presentation on what Downtown Soul City has done since its incorporation, the impact it has made on downtown Augusta and the community, as well as a vision for this year and beyond, according to a news release.

Attendees can meet the store owners and representatives of member stores and restaurants who have put on the events like Camp Soul City, Small Business Saturday, Soul City Spectacular, Buddy Week and the Fall Social Circle.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Downtown Soul City website. One ticket is $50 or two for $80. Included with entry are two drink tickets and food from members Laziza Mediterranean Grill, The Boll Weevil and New Moon Cafe and enough casino chips to get you started on the games.
