Canton Jones to perform at Encounter in Evans Dec. 1

GRAMMY-nominated performer Canton Jones will be in Evans Dec. 1 for the Encounter event at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center.

Nominated for the GRAMMY for his song, Window, which was released in 2011, Jones is a contemporary gospel singer, rapper and music producer who lives in the Atlanta area. He’s also the pastor of Atlanta’s Free Life Experience.

His albums include  20 Years, 3 Months, & 12 Days, Love Jones, The Password: Access Granted, Kingdom Business Parts 1-4, Dominionaire, Dominionaire Remixed, Go Mode, Lust, Drugs, and Gospel and Godcity.

He’s been part of projects with gospel singers such as  Kierra Kiki Sheard, William McDowell, Vicki Yohe, Deitrick Haddon, Viktory, Andy Mineo, Matt Pitt, Joann Condrey, William Murphy, Tye Tribbett, Jor’dan Armstrong and Andy Mineo.

Joining Jones will be local singers Angela James and Kevin Walker.

James is a North Augusta teen whose first song Don’t Give Up Now was released on Jan. 21.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children 12 years-old and younger. They are available until Nov. 17 here.

The concert begins at 6 p.m. Food trucks will be available on site.
