A flight of dragonflies joined Saturday’s audience at the fourth annual Betty’s Bash Paddle Race and Music Festival, seeming to dance to he music at Riverside Park.
Crowds enjoyed a wide spectrum of performers including Nick Brown, the Created 2 Play drumline, the Ethan Stallings Group and the Mason Jars.
Andy Colbert of Outdoor Augusta and the Mason Jars said the event which began with the kayak race at 9 a.m. is a gift to the community.
There were food trucks and corn hole and a giant Connect 4 game in addition to the music.
Outdoor Augusta has multiple events coming up. Two more summer camps are on the schedule in July , and Colbert plans to add a few extra evening paddle events leading up to the next full moon paddle onn July 21. Check the website here for more information.
