MARICOPA, ARIZ. – The Augusta University men’s golf team wrapped up the year with a tenth place finish at the National Golf Invitational at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Jaguars shot their best round of the event but were unable to make up ground. Grand Canyon won the event in convincing fashion and were followed by Missouri and Rhode Island.

Pieter Rossouw Jr. was again the low Jaguar golfer on the day with a 4-under-par 68. Rossouw posted a birdie, eagle and a bogey on the front nine. Then, on the back nine, made four more birdies to go along with a pair of bogeys for his final score. He finished in a tie for 10th overall.

Josh Daniels shot a 1-over-par 73 on Sunday. Daniels had two birdies and three bogeys.

Chapman Barnett signed his scorecard for a 2-over-par 74. Barnett finished with three birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey.

The final score was Pascal Gunther’s 75. Despite four early bogeys, Gunther rebounded with three birdies before back-to-back bogeys to finish his round.
