Augusta Tech announces ‘Den of Distinction’ inductees

The Augusta Technical College Den of Distinction Committee announced its third class of inductees to the Den of Distinction Sept. 20.

“The Den of Distinction celebrates a select group of alumni within Cougar Nation who have fulfilled the promise of technical education. Each inductee has an innovative spirit and embodies Augusta Technical College’s vision and values. The stories of these alumni are filled with diverse perspectives and experiences that are remarkable, triumphant, and trailblazing. You will be able to learn more about our 2023 inductees through features on our college website,” according to a news release from Augusta Technical College.

This year’s inductees are: Andrew Robert Aquino, Controller, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners; Patrick Cutlip, President, Atlas Heating and Air Mechanical Services Inc.; Shelia Hill, Retired Interim President & VP for Administrative Services, Augusta Technical College; Shelly Martin, Vice President of Operations, ATC Development; Victoria McClendon, Entrepreneur/Nurse Educator, Owner of Nurse Vik LLC and Nurse Educator for Wilkes County Schools; Debra E. Moore, City Manager, City of Harlem; Daryl Rolle, President, Glee Enterprises; Michelle A. Sullivan, SVP, Card Service Operations Analytics and Payments Manager, South State Bank; Wayland Z. Utley, ICU Nurse, MCG-WellStar Health System; and Alina C. Walls, Controller, Stuckey’s Corporation.

“The college community is excited to celebrate these 10 alumni who have displayed excellence within the community and within their professions,” said Jermaine Whirl, Augusta Tech president in the release.. “We look forward to saluting them in celebration of their personal and professional accomplishments.”

The college will induct the honorees at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at the Jack B. Patrick Information Technology Center Auditorium.
