“Rooted in a deep reverence for light, landscape, and spiritual mystery, Allsbrook’s work invites viewers into moments of intimate attention and wonder. In his words, he paints not simply to record the world, but to uncover ‘facts transfigured by love’—those flickering, profound instants when observation becomes revelation. A riverbed illuminated by shifting light, a quiet trail at dusk: each painting becomes a contemplative gesture, asserting the enduring presence of beauty and meaning in the natural world,” according to a news release.

Also downtown is “PEOPLE” — a vibrant collection by Rhian Swain is now on view at the Augusta & Co. Gallery, 1010 Broad St.

“Explore bold colors and powerful portraits in this striking new exhibition,” according to a description of the event by the Greater Augusta Arts Council.

The exhibition will be on display through Oct. 2 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 1.

And  SummHer, an invitation-only art exhibition and sale to celebrate the Summer soul, spirit and sass of female artists from the Central Savannah Region Area will be from June 27 to Aug. 2 at Better World Studios 125 Marshall Street, Graniteville.

In addition to the works of eight artists, “guests will be immersed in a sensory experience with the addition of taste, sound and touch. From the smell of the ocean or flowers to the feel of sand in your fingers, enjoy some fun elements of the season with SummHer,” according to a Facebook post.
