Through his lens, Mark Albertin has captured the beauty and mystery of Georgia’s Okefenokee Swamp.
These black and white images are currently on display at CANDL Fine Art, where Albertin will give a talk at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.
The exhibition is a collection of images taken with vintage cameras and lenses in 120mm, 4×5, and 8×10 formats, highlighting Albertin’s commitment to traditional film techniques, according to a news release.
“The Okefenokee series is about more than art; it’s about advocacy,” said Albertin in the release. “The swamp is one of the last remaining sanctuaries of its kind. These images aim to inspire action to protect it.”
