Arts council announces 2025 awardees

The Greater Augusta Arts Council celebrates 40 years of honoring arts excellence with the 2025 Augusta Annual Arts Awards Gala June 20.

“This year’s event represents a broader range of Augusta’s amazing creative community, with more awards and an elevated gala and dinner celebration,” according to a news release.

The gala will be at 7 p.m. June 20, at the St. Paul’s River Room. Tickets are $65 for Arts Council Members, $75 for non-members and $125 for couples. Tickets are available at AugustaArts.com.

The winners include:

Lifetime Achievement Award: Christine Miller Betts

President’s Award: Steven Kendrick

Executive Director’s Visionary Leadership Award: Barbara Feldman, Storyland Theatre

Emerging Artist Award: Maddie Cartwright

Arts Professional Categories include:

Visual Artist – Tiphiknee De Herrera 

Digital Design/Photography – Mark Alberton

Entertainment – Krys Bailey, Le Chat Noir

Literary – Lucinda Clark

History & Preservation – Corey Rogers, Lucy Craft Laney Museum / Golden Blocks
