Area teams scheduled for SRP Park High School Showcase

NORTH AUGUSTA – Area baseball teams are scheduled for the annual SRP Park High School Baseball Showcase beginning Feb. 12.

This annual showcase allows high schools from around the region the opportunity to play at SRP Park, according to a news release from SRP Park, and six nights of games are scheduled for this year’s showcase.

“We’re excited to grow our High School Baseball Showcase at SRP Park with TaxSlayer for this season,” said GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger, in the release. “We invite the community to come out and support this program as we create memorable moments for student athletes to play on a professional field. What better way to get the juices flowing for GreenJackets baseball!”

The showcase begin with Aquinas and the Academy of Richmond County at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. For tickets, go here. Glascock County takes on Grovetown High School at 6 p.m. Feb. 20. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. For tickets, go here. Evans and Augusta Christian will face off at 6 p.m. Feb. 22 with gates opening at 5 p.m. For tickets, go here.

Harlem will take on North Augusta on March 21. The JV teams will start at 5 p.m. with the varsity at around 7:30 p.m. For tickets, go here. Strom Thurmond will go up against Aiken on March 25. The JV will play at 5 p.m., and the varsity will play around 7:30 p.m. For tickets, go here. Westminster Schools will play Augusta Preparatory Day School at March 28 with the first pitch at 5:35 pm. Game times and schedules are subject to change, stay tuned to www.greenjacketsbaseball.com or social media channels for updates, according to the release. Tickets are on-sale now for all games and can be purchased online by visiting www.GreenJacketsBaseball.com. Tickets are $10 (plus fees) per person, children 3 and under are free. Parking will be available in the Stadium Deck located across from SRP Park for an event rate of $5 per vehicle.

The GreenJackets will be selling concessions at all games, so fans can enjoy delicious ballpark fare during the showcases, the release said.
