Aiken candy shop collecting Valentines for older adults

Cyndi’s Sweet Shoppe in downtown Aiken is once again collecting homemade cards to deliver to older adults on Valentine’s Day.

Located at 146 Laurens St. S.W., the shop is collecting Valentines for adults in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

“I’ve done this for several years now, and it’s something I look forward to every year,” said Cindy Birchmeyer Mosley-Rudisill, the owner of Cyndi’s Sweet Shoppe. “The seniors in nursing homes and assisted living facilities deserve some love, and I’m just happy to be able to help.”

Anyone who brings in a Valentine’s Day card will receive a coupon for one free kids’ ice cream scoop, valid through May 31. The deadline to bring in cards is Feb. 10

Cyndi’s Sweet Shoppe offers a variety of sweet treats including candies, chocolates, pralines, jelly beans, ice cream and fudge.
