AIKEN – Tony Ateca will become Security Federal Bank’s Chief Operating Officer effective July 10, 2026.
The promotion reflects Security Federal Bank’s continued commitment to long-term growth, innovation, and exceptional customer service. The newly established Chief Operating Officer position was approved by the Bank’s Board of Directors to strengthen executive leadership and support the Bank’s strategic vision for the future, according to a news release from Security Federal Bank.
Security Federal Bank in July 2008 and has served as Chief Administrative Officer since 2013. During his 18 years with the Bank, he has held numerous leadership roles and has made significant contributions across multiple areas of the organization, including operations, retail banking, mortgage and compliance.

As Chief Operating Officer, Tony will oversee the Bank’s operational, retail banking, technology, human resources, marketing, treasury management, Security Federal Insurance, and administrative functions. He will also play a key role in talent development, organizational effectiveness, and the execution of the Bank’s strategic initiatives.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Tony has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to community service. He has been actively involved with organizations including Aiken Performing Arts, Aiken County Habitat for Humanity, Kairos Prison Ministry International, and Grace Church of Aiken.
