Express TCG and Cardboard Castle Games will debut the first Harvest Cup fundraiser event June 12-18.
Harvest Cup will raise funds and canned food donations for the Golden Harvest Food Bank at Cardboard Castle Games, Express TCG – North Augusta, and Express TCG – Harlem..
Celebrate some friendly competition between beloved local game stores. From June 12-18, all locations will be donating all
entry fees for to the food bank. Participants will also be able to pay their entry fees in canned food at the rate of one can equals $1. For an additional five cans or $5, they will also receive a raffle ticket that they can drop into one of 10 prize baskets that are split between the participating locations.
The second part of the Harvest Cup will be a series of exhibition matches at each of the locations. Owners Michael King of Express TCG and Robert Temenak of Cardboard Castle Games will put $100 behind each of their employees for the matches. Whoever wins the match gets $200 towards their store total. People will be able to donate cans or cash to increase the total possible winnings for these exhibition matches. Anyone who brings in at least five cans or donates at least $5 will receive a raffle ticket.
The exhibition matches will be June 21 – Flesh and Blood at Express TCG – North Augusta. June 22 – Dice Throne and Riftbound at Express TCG – Harlem; June 24 – Pokémon and the One Piece TCG at Cardboard Castle Games; and June 26 – Catan and Magic the Gathering at Cardboard Castle Games.
