A family-owned business celebrated its 35th anniversary April 30, thanking its customers with tours of its Gordon Highway facilities, lunch on the grounds, giveaways and more.
“The only reason this exists is because of the Lord,” said Bob Matthews, who founded the business in 1991 performing mobile repairs and has grown it into a multi-faceted operation employing 65 people who “are walking in the blessings with me.”
About 300 people RSVP’d to attend the lunchtime gathering. Multiple vendors set up booths on site and interacted with attendees.

The business is a one-stop shop for fleet managers, providing new and pre-owned truck sales, parts, service, custom upfitting and fleet support. Matthews Motors also sells pre-owned work vans and light-duty trucks, according to a news release.
The business recently added an online parts store and consolidated its pre-owned light-duty inventory to its main Gordon Highway location.

While corporations and municipalities account for some of its business, most of the businesses Matthews Motors works with are smaller entities.
“Mom and Pop account for about 75% of our business,” he said.
The company is looking into the future with Matthews’ sons, Austin and Aaron, in leadership roles.
At the event, Matthews Motors received a 2026 Circle of Excellence Award from Isuzu.
