Colorful Hat brings circus arts, magic to Evans on April 17

According to most calendars World Circus Day is April 18, and the Colorful Hat Circus and Variety celebrate it at the Hardin Auditorium at 7 p.m. April 17.

The Colorful Hat Circus and Variety brings acrobatic circus arts, dynamic juggling, breathtaking aerial dance, and amazing magic and illusions performed live and on stage, according to a news release. For tickets, go here.

Stars of the show include Magic and Circus arts duo Nathan Kepner and Morgan Tsu-Raun.

Tsu-Raun started as a hula hoop performer and Kepner was a magician. Together their performance is a fusion of acrobatics, a variety of juggling arts and physical comedy. Notable appearances include London’s renowned Magic Circle Theatre and a spot on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno.

Joining them is cirque-style aerialist Sarah Small, whose stunning work on Lyra and Aerial Silks brings a sense of grace and wonder to the stage that will inspire and impress audiences of all ages, the news release said.

Since 2007, the Colorful Hat has built its reputation on Reinventing Vaudeville for modern audiences, presenting the timeless thrills of live variety entertainment in an intimate theatrical setting that makes every seat feel like a front-row experience.
