One Night In Memphis brings the music of four icons to stage

A high-energy production celebrates the legendary sounds of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins—four icons who famously came together for an unforgettable jam session on December 4, 1956, at Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee.

“One Night In Memphis” closes out the Etherredge Center’s Cultural Series at 7 p.m. April 23.

“One Night in Memphis” features the music of of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.

“I am thrilled to close out this amazing season of The Arts at the Etherredge Center with such a high-energy performance,” said Paul B. Crook, Executive Director of the Etherredge Center. “In a season that has brought us Lightwire Dinosaurs, Scott Kirby’s Mainstreet America, and most recently, the Irish brilliance of Danú,” Crook said, “’One Night In Memphis’ is the perfect finale that celebrates iconic music, exceptional talent, and the kind of live experience that brings our community together in a truly unforgettable way.”

‘One Night in Memphis’ brings that historic moment to life with more than 90 minutes of live music, featuring rockabilly, country, gospel, and classic 1950s rock and roll. Audiences can expect to hear beloved hits such as “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and “Hound Dog,” among many others.

Created and directed by John Mueller, also known for the acclaimed production “Winter Dance Party,” this show has earned widespread praise, sold-out performances, and standing ovations across the country. Featuring a talented cast that includes former members of the Broadway hit “Million Dollar Quartet,” the production captures the spirit, sound, and excitement of a defining moment in American music history.

Tickets for “One Night In Memphis” are $40 for adults, $35 for USCA faculty/staff, senior citizens, and military, and $5 for students. Full-priced tickets may be purchased online at etherredgecenter.universitytickets.com/. Discounted tickets must be purchased in person at the Etherredge Center Box Office, located at 340 Scholar Loop, Aiken, SC 29803.
