The T.W. Josey High School girls’ basketball team is returning to the Final Four for the sixth straight time after defeating Hart County 70-54 in the quarterfinals of the Georgia High School AA State Playoffs on Tuesday, March 3.
The Eagles dominated the majority of Tuesday’s game, outscoring Hart County 30-10 in the first quarter and 50-23 at the half.

Senior center Zamiyah Jenkins would go down due to injury in the second half. Jenkins attempted to return late in the game, but returned to the bench a few seconds in.
“She is going to be all right; she was cramping up towards the end. She will be fine,” said Josey Coach Nichelle Chapman.

Despite being outscored slightly in the second half, Josey held on to the double-digit margin victory.
Other star senior Kerri Fluellen led the Eagles with 34 points in the Eagles final home game of the season.
Chapman praised Fluellen after the game and emphasized she always has 100% confidence in her leading the charge.
Josey will battle Hardaway on the road at Legacy Arena in Douglasville, GA on Friday, March 6 at 6 p.m. The winner of that game will head to Macon to play for the AA Girls Basketball State Championship on Saturday, March 14.
