Yummy Pho held its soft opening Feb. 7 at 284 Meridian Dr. in Grovetown.

Located next to Cold Stone Creamery in the Gateway Square Plaza, the eatery features Vietnamese cuisine including rice and pho dishes plus an array of grilled specialties, Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai tea.

Yummy Pho is open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Linda and Bela Humphreys were among patrons the first week.

“My favorite is grilled chicken vermicelli bowl with shredded carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, peanuts with fish sauce. We also liked shrimp summer rolls,” Linda Humphreys wrote in a text. “Bela introduce me to Vietnamese food and he usually gets pho.”

A grand opening will be scheduled.

My sister and I visited there along with a friend which happens to be my coworker as well. This was their soft opening. Let’s just say for us our visit was not as grand. Too took long to order. Our customers food was coming to our table. Finally, when we did order it still took a long time they just put it in to go containers. Only to find out my order was completing wrong. They apologized and fixed it but again wrong again because my meal stated fried rice and not white rice. The manger was very apologetic but if this is our soft opening, I hate to see what the grand opening will be.
