The Peach Belt Conference announced the 2025 Volleyball All-Conference team Thursday, with Augusta University’s Giulia Rodrigues and Sofiia Snitsarevych earning two of the league’s top honors. Rodrigues was named the Peach Belt Conference Libero of the Year after leading the conference in digs per set, while Snitsarevych was selected as the PBC Freshman of the Year following a strong debut season on the outside.

- Rodrigues is the first Augusta player to be named PBC Libero/Defensive Specialist of the Year
- Rodrigues leads the PBC in digs (538) and digs per set (4.72)
- She had 11 games this season with 20+ digs, including a season high 31 vs GCSU

- First Augusta player since 2016 to be named PBC Freshman of the Year, and the fifth Jaguar in history to receive the award
- Second in the PBC in total blocks (120) and blocks per set (1.03), with a season high eight total blocks vs Lees-McRae
- Snitsarevych totaled 249 kills, averaging 2.13 per set, finishing six games with double figure kills
Both were also voted to the PBC All-Conference Team, headlining a group of four Jaguars recognized this season. Rodrigues and Snitsarevych earned Second Team honors, while junior middle hitter Layne Witherspoon and senior outside hitter Lauren Nelson were named to the First Team.

Nelson led Augusta in kills and total points, finishing the regular season with 330 kills (3.20 per set), 367 points, 233 digs, and 40 total blocks. Witherspoon ranked among the league’s most efficient attackers, posting 324 kills (2.77 per set) on a .296 hitting percentage while contributing 78 blocks and 406 points.
As a team, the Jaguars compiled 1,516 kills, 2,057 digs, and 220.5 total blocks during the regular season while hitting .197 across 117 sets. Augusta averaged 12.0 assists, 1.9 aces, and 17.6 digs per set and earned a share of the PBC regular season title with a strong finish down the stretch.

Augusta now turns its attention to postseason play, opening the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Tournament on Saturday, November 22, at 2 p.m. against Salem. The tournament is hosted by Flagler College at Saints Fieldhouse in St. Augustine, Fla. The winner moves on to the semifinal round later in the weekend.
