Laney blanks Butler 44-0 for homecoming win Oct. 11

Laney High School shutout Butler 44-0 at for a homecoming afternoon game on Saturday, Oct. 11.

The Wildcats dominated the entire game with multiple seniors getting in the endzone including quarterback Trevon Griffin, wide receiver Reggie Makerson and running back Tiquavious Kemp.

Markerson also made the play of the game late in the first half with a tipped pass interception to break up the Bulldogs only chance of scoring.

Laney now moves to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in region play. The Wildcats next matchup will be at home versus winless Glenn Hills on Friday, Oct. 24. Butler moves to 2-6 overall and 2-1 in region play. The Bulldogs will host 6-2 Burke County on also Friday, Oct. 24.
