Foodie paradise at Arts in the Heart of Augusta

Hankering for bratwurst with a side of Thai gyoza and baklava ice cream for dessert? Or maybe some Sudanese curry chicken with some kimchi? Bangers and mash? Hot dog and fries?

Whatever your tastes, Arts in the Heart of Augusta is bound to have just what foodies are looking for.

While the festival brings lots of performers and visual artists to downtown Augusta Sept. 19-21, it will also bring together a smorgasbord of foods from around the world to give foodies a one-of-a-kind weekend.

“The global food village is famous for its authentic taste of global cuisine and is a favorite spot for foodies with 19 authentic cuisine booths. Food booths include China, Greece, Germany, India, Ireland, South Sudan, Sudan, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Lebanon, Trinidad, Philippines, Latin America, Jamaica, Turkey and Samoa,” according to a news release.

Advanced weekend passes are $15 and available online at ArtsintheHeartofAugusta.com. Children 10 and under are admitted free. Passes are good for the entire weekend. Badges at the gate are $20. Pets and coolers are not allowed; Lawn chairs are welcome.
