Hephzibah girls softball team heading to World Series

The Hephzibah 15U All-Stars girls’ softball team is heading back to the Diamond Youth Softball World Series after winning its second straight state title June 20.

The team went undefeated in the two-day all-star tournament in Crawford County to qualify for the return to the World Series later this month in Louisiana.

Team members Paityn Oglesby, Madeleigh James, Elisa Wadley, Brylynn Dressel, Allison Faircloth, Julia Chandler, Bella Templin, Kallyns Ellis and Aspen Lutz attend area middle and high schools; and the team is part of Cal Ripken Hephzibah Sports.
